PACKAGING ENGINEER

Overview:The purpose of this position is to design, install and document packaging for bearing and related product which will meet or exceed our customer's requirements. Responsibilities:1) Establish the material and process standards for packaging to be used for bearing and related parts.2) Document said information into our databases, including Global Packaging Database and into the Global Packaging website.3) Develop and implement packaging changes which will reduce costs or improve quality.4) Lead packaging personnel globally in order to establish true global standards.5) Through training, gain a basic familiarity with packaging materials and processes used.6) Gather data from a variety of databases in order to arrive at fact-based decisions.  Qualifications: Bachelors Degree in Packaging Engineering with 0-2 years experience.  Ability to use MS packages including Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint Ability Must be comfortable making presentations to Timken mgt. and customers Ability to use time management techniques to manage multiple projects Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and use drawing packages Ability to use SAP software Desire to advance in Timken packaging department to management level Have understanding of shipping dynamics including load transfer and shock/vibrat Watch our video to  learn more about us. www.timken.com
