PC Tools Software Engineer (SPECIFIC C# / WINDOWS DEVELOPER EXPERIENCE)

Growing Automotive Engineering Services company that develops and manufactures electronic products is looking for a Software Engineer.

The Role
Software engineer, familiar with PC Tools software development to enhance engineering team in the USA. The ideal candidate will demonstrate technical capability both within internal teams and in front of customers, and should be able to work confidently with the customer.

Key Duties

Software Engineering
• Work in conjunction with project team to produce high quality deliverables to our customers.
• Help to develop software requirements, software designs and test plans
• Implement software
• Test project components/systems against defined test plans
• Review work elements of other team members against defined standards
• Support estimation of software tasks

Customer Liaison
• Interface with customer to understand their needs
• Support agreement of requirements between team and customer
• Support feedback of status to customers if required

Team Liaison
• Interface with internal team to understand how project and customer needs can best be met
• Support remote teams where necessary to work in the most effective way together

Business Awareness
• Work closely with customer and always be aware of understanding both the current and future needs of our customers.
• Ensure that any appropriate information regarding customers needs and or satisfaction (or lack thereof) is passed on to appropriate members of the team for subsequent action.

Technical Skills/Experience required:
To be successful, candidates must have:
• Experience of PC/Windows software design, development and review in a variety of programming languages and protocols including C#, C/C++, .Net, Windows Forms, Windows Presentation
• Foundation (WPF), Windows Template Library (WTL), Microsoft Foundation Classes (MFC), Component Object Model (COM), Application Template Library (ATL), Windows SDK, Platform SDK, X86 Assembly
• Concepts of software architecture and systems integration.
Knowledge/awareness of requirements capture, definition and documentation
• Utilization of such methods and tools as Unified Modeling Language (UML), Rational Rose, Rational Clearquest, Visual Intercept, V-Model, Rapid Application Development (RAD), Extreme Programming, etc. required.
