PRINCIPAL ERGONOMICS ENGINEER

Position Summary:This position provides a nationally recognized expert in ergonomic workplace design who will develop and implement strategies to minimize the risk of work-related musculoskeletal injuries and illnesses to associates and visitors throughout worldwide operations. This position is responsible to recognize and evaluate potential ergonomic risks and provide the leadership for operations management to develop and implement hazard controls and improve human productivity.  Responsibilities:1.  A worldwide ergonomic risk management system, which ensures (and documents) effective injury reporting, job risk assessment, prioritization, and control of workplace risk factors that may cause musculoskeletal disorders.2.  Improved ergonomic awareness at all levels of the company. Development and implementation of awareness and training programs, ergonomic specifications for equipment and operation design, effective ergonomic risk reduction practices and procedures.3.  Prevention of musculosketal injuries and illnesses and control of related worker’s compensation costs.4.  An effective audit system to verify compliance with the Company’s workplace safety and health policy dealing with issues of ergonomic risks and all related federal and state standards.Requirements: Bachelors Degree in Industrial Engineering or Ergonomics with 15 years experience. Masters Degree in Industrial Engineering with 10 years experience. in Ph.D Industrial Engineering or Ergonomics with 5 years experience.  Experience must have given candidate the opportunity to develop and demonstrate the following desired competencies: 1.  Previous work experience in manufacturing with a strong background in in occupational ergonomics, industrial engineering, biomechanics, physiology, and anthropometry.   2.  Ability to communicate technical information in writing and verbally to all levels of managements and all associates.  Watch our video to  learn more about us. www.timken.com
