PRINCIPAL MARKET ANALYST

Position Summary: The purpose of this position is to provide management with timely, accurate financial and marketing information to support effective decision making. The incumbent leads large or complex projects or assignments within or outside of the marketing area and informally directs the work and priorities of others. The information generated by the position is used to define Timken's value within a market segment and to recommend solutions related to new information or situations. In addition, this position is required to support the sales process with specific marketing activity (e.g. pricing, research, presentations).  This position plans and leads multiple complex projects incorporating advanced and specialized techniques, theories, and practices. Responsibilities: 1.  Develop, evaluate, and execute complex or innovative assignments requiring advanced knowledge of marketing principles and practices.  2.  Use advanced techniques and diversified knowledge across multiple areas. 3.Proficient in drawing inferences and implications (outputs) from data analysis that are both easily communicated and allow for the development of clear, cohesive global growth strategies.  4.Independently lead large or complex projects or assignments, within or outside functional area. 5.Develops and demonstrates leadership skills in leading or contributing expertise to diverse and/or multiple projects and assignments.  6.  Informally direct the work and priorities of others. Requirements: 1.  Bachelors Degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, Engineering with 6-10 years experience.  orMASTER in Business or related field with 6-10 years experience.2.  Market, product or business analytical experiences 3.  Expertise in data analysis and global business implications4.  Project management skills 5.  Effective written and oral communications 6.  Market and product knowledge 7.  Business plan skills and strategic planning support Watch our video to  learn more about us. www.timken.com
