Parts Sytem Analyst

SUMMARY: Under general supervision of the Parts System Supervisor, performs duties in the following areas: new parts system design, parts system modifications/enhancements, project status reporting, ad-hoc reporting, query/PC database training and system documentation within AS400. The Parts Systems Analyst provides technical system support to 4 Part Distribution Centers, all Parts Corporate users, Dealer Communication System users and Regional Staff.  This position does not however, involve any IT or AS400 programming. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES: • Provide technical support to Parts systems users by researching suspicious data results, program errors/failures and other general questions. • Initiates program maintenance requests and determines their priorities based on urgency or benefit to the Parts Department and Kia Motors America. • Provides ad-hoc programming and queries for Parts Departmental needs. • Provide timely and accurate month end reporting. • Produce system design specifications to Parts Management and IT Department.QUALIFICATIONS: Education: • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent work experience and demonstrated skills. Overall Related Experience: • Minimum of three years systems (AS400) experience preferably within the automotive industry Directly Related Experience: • Minimum of two years experience preferably with an automotive parts importer in the areas of parts and information technology.KIA MOTORS AMERICA is a dynamic company that is ideal for professionals who seek to accelerate their careers.
