Passenger Car Oil Sales Specialist - Castrol

Location:
This position will be home-based in the New York or the New Jersey area.

Relocation Options:
Relocation will not be provided for this position. Local candidates are preferred.

The company offers a wide range of premium quality lubricants for the consumer, commercial, marine and industrial markets. Castrol, with a reputation for innovation and high performance engine oils, markets premium lubricants and business-building programs in the US.

The Passenger Car Oil (PCO) Sales Specialist is accountable for increasing Castrols share of the PCO market space by maximizing the sale of products and services to automotive lubricant installers, including new car dealers, quick lubes and service dealers/repair shops on a direct basis or through a distributor channel. This role will work closely with a specific Distributor Business Manager (DBM) to increase product sales and gross margin results for the company and identified Wholesale Distributors (WD) partners.

Accountabilities Include:Achieve volume, sales and gross margin profit goals established for assigned installers and the WD network within the sales territory. Partner with the DBM team to develop individual WD business plans to increase consumer lubricants sales and monitor results. Work directly with the WD staff on sales calls with existing installers and new business opportunities. Ensure trade marketing programs are effectively implemented in the installer and WD channel. Partner with the supervisor to evaluate and prioritize new segment/account opportunities within the region. Coordinate with various functional groups to plan and develop account-specific programs and promotions. Review and evaluate competitive programs/selling tools to ensure Castrol matches industrys best practices. Practice HSSE initiatives and meet company objectives in this area.

Required Qualifications:
To be considered for the role of PCO Sales Specialist applicants must have:Legal authorization to work in the US on a full time basis for anyone other than current employer. The willingness and ability to relocate to the New York or the New Jersey area without company assistance. The willingness and ability to travel up to 40% of the time, including overnight, in order to fulfill the responsibilities of this position. A minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent. A minimum of 2 years of experience in sales and territory management. Excellent sales and negotiating skills. Excellent communication and presentation skills. The ability to work independently. Strong interpersonal skills. Strong leadership skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
In addition to the required qualifications the successful candidate is likely to be able to demonstrate:A minimum of a Bachelors Degree. A minimum of 2 years of experience with lubricant installers or automotive related sales. Proficiency with value-added sales. Proficiency with premium marketing programs. Proficiency with lubricant sales. Strong skills with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
