Process Improvement Engineer

Tier one automotive supplier seeks a Process Improvement Engineer at their Central Alabama facility.  This is one of the nicer southeast locations – easy drive to This Company has multiple locations, this site is of medium size, fairly new site, still growing.  In addition to salary and company provides an excellent benefit package and relocation assistance.

 

Responsibilities for this position will center on the continuous improvements of processes and equipment.  This person will evaluate current processes and equipment, develop and implement changes to make the manufacturing of quality products more efficient.

 

Qualifications for this position include a minimum of five years experience in an automotive manufacturing environment successfully developing and implementing continuous improvement plans.  Experience with assembly and finishing processes a real plus.  Must have a four year technical degree – BSIE or BS in Manufacturing Engineering highly preferred.  Any additional continuous improvement training is desirable.  Personality traits should include strong organizational skills, being profit oriented, leadership qualities, excellent communication skills at all levels, ability to manage projects and deadlines, someone with a high energy level and a creative thinker.
