Product Development Manager

Automotive OEM company in PA is looking for a Product Development Scientist / Manager to enhance the ways of manufacturing automotive carpets.
 
Person will work on a project basis, evaluating new and current raw materials, perform experimental design to replace materials or change the process for cost effective measures. Will be trained in the unit operations of the plant and make changes to ensure product reliability and/or quality upgrades. The lab consists of 1 chemist and 2 techs.  This person will be the lead person in Product Development, as well as, set up projects, gather data and make presentations to the Technical Director for review. Once there is agreement and the pilot plant proves the change, this engineer will help with implementation in the plant.

Requirements:
This candidate needs to have an advanced degree, MS is preferred but will consider PhD`s in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Polymer Science, Textile Chemistry or Material Science, BS degree in science will be considered if there is 10 - 15 yrs. of development experience in fibers, carpeting or non-woven projects.
Candidate should have 8-10 years experience from fibers, latex extrusion coatings, plastic molding for carpet backing, adhesive lamination, non-woven and or foam technologies.
