Product Engineer - Electronics

Due to a continuing influx of business at this Alabama location for an international automotive component supplier, my Client Company has an immediate opening for a Product Engineer. This is a state-of-the-art facility supplying electronic sensors and controls to automotive suppliers and OEMs. The Product Engineer is the technical product liaison between the customer and the Client Company.   RESPONSIBILITIES  If standard products fail to meet customer’s requirements lead the development of new systems/components Initiate and execute new product development projects from concept through design, development, documentation and assembly. Working with Engineering, Quality and Production, develop process, equipment and fixture requirements Direct the initial phases of tool engineering and tryout of new or modified tooling. Develop product development requirements to include specifications, budgets, manpower, technical objectives, prototyping, schedules and product cost estimates. Maintain records Provide manufacturing support Coordinate cost reduction projects.REQUIREMENTS A degree in Engineering (Industrial, Electrical, Quality or Mechanical) Two plus years of related work experience High speed high volume electronics manufacturing experience Working knowledge of TS-16949, APQP, SPC, PPAP Proven problem solving skills utilizing 8-D process, Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, etc. Computer Skills such as MS Excel, Word, Power Point, Access, MS Project, MiniTab, ARENA and Auto-CAD. COMPENSATION: To $55k plus excellent Benefit Package  If you would like to be considered for this position, please email your resume to dch@mritn.com with the subject dch#1400. All resumes should be emailed as an attachment in either Microsoft Word or .rtf format.
