Product Support Technician-Contract

The Position

In this challenging position, reporting to the Product Support Manager, you are responsible for support and repair of Azures and Customers hybrid vehicles. This is a hands on role that requires having 4-5 years experience working with light weight commercial and custom designed vehicles. This position demands an experienced customer service professional.

The responsibilities and aptitudes include but are not limited to:Service and trouble-shoot issues with hybrid and electric vehicles operating in customer's hands at various locations across North America; Repair vehicles at Customer facilities and at Azure offices; Identify failure trends and modes in products and communicate observations about such trends to Product Support Manager and Product Service technical staff; Convey troubleshooting and failure information to Azure staff via trip reports, interdepartmental communication and failure databases; Writing, updating and editing service manuals, service bulletins, procedures, change requests, bills of material, tool lists, reports and other documents as required; Conduct technical and operational training for customers; Generating quotations for service repairs; Entry of service orders in management systems for customer service repairs; Assisting our Sales and Marketing group with liasing and technical presentations to current and potential Customers.

Education, training and experience required

 Excellent vehicle troubleshooting ability; Computer skills: Microsoft Office (MS Windows, Excel, Word, Project), internet, e-mail, management systems; Good record keeping abilities; 4-5 years experience servicing light duty commercial vehicles - vans, trucks, buses; Diagnostic and Scan Tool knowledge; Basic understanding of electronics; Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; Good training and teaching skills; Good judgment regarding business practices and product safety; Willingness to travel on short notice.

 

Previous experience with hybrid or electric vehicles is an asset, but not a requirement. It is a salaried position.
