Project Engineer III

Project Engineer provides leadership for all technical aspects of system-wide CAD/AVL project implementation specifically for the New York City Transit project. Analyzes customer requirements to determine system design, system installation, system intergration, and system test within time constraints. Develop written project plan, schedule, and test requirement documents. Consults with customers, systems, engineers, and software engineers to evaluate and define system level intergration of internally developed, third party, and legacy customer systems including but not limited to software, computer networks, UHF/VHF conventional and trucked radio networks, and mobile systems including GPS, data/voice radio, automatic passenger counters and video surveillance subsystems.Bachelor Degree in Engineering related field and 5 to nine years of related job experience. Previous work experience in the transit industry preferableDemonstrate a broad knowledge of technical expertise in the deployment of a complex CAD/AVL system in a transit environment. Experience in deployment of complex projects a must. Must be able to communicate effectively with management teams, peers, and customer personnel.
