Project Management Specialist

Responsible for development and execution of project plan (high pressure injector and fuel rail assembly)Performs project management activities, focusing on scheduling, budget, risk, change management, requirements engineering, scope, and resource management activitiesProvides technical project design review leadershipLead localization and qualification of injector componentsDesigns and leads continuous improvement and project expansion opportunitiesResponsible for overall success of project within multi-department and cross-functional areasCoordination and liaison with focus factory production and engineering departments for all product/process changesRegularly update division management on project status, issues, and corrective actionsHas Profit and Loss responsibility for the project as defined in the approved Project Agreement Bachelors of Science Mechanical Engineering (BSME), Industrial Engineer or Manufacturing Engineer with manufacturing experience.Advanced knowledge of the design, process and functioning of automotive products (preferred in high pressure injector)Knowledge of Automotive OEM product development and launch systems (prototyping, product validation, production readiness)Knowledge of applicable manufacturing assembly processesExperience with supplier managementAdvanced knowledge of PM for tracking and directing activities of the Project TeamAbility to interact with other cultures and languagesComputer literacy, including MS Office (Including Minitab and Flowcharting software). PMP certification preferred (required within six months). Multiple years (minimum 8 years) in progressively responsible positions in automotive industry (i.e., engineering, quality, and/or manufacturing, and project management). Customer liaison experience preferred. Extended travel to Italy will be required.
