Project Manager (Technical Automotive OEM Market Analysis)

Urban Science is currently looking for a Technical Project Manager for an on-site client location in Herndon, VA.
SUMMARY
On site management of an Automotive OEM Sales Reporting, Analysis and Traffic Data. The Project Manager will be responsible for delivering the Monthly Sales Planning Analysis, which includes management and support of regular analysis, enhancement of existing analysis, development of new analysis, and ad-hoc analysis.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Assumes responsibility for project outcomes, including delivery of projects that are on time, within budget and at an exceptional level of quality
· Assumes responsibility for quality of data being utilized on assigned projects
· Serves as liaison between client and Urban Science technical staff on installations
· Acquires and maintains in-depth knowledge relating to client data for assigned projects
· Responds to client inquiries and provides needed assistance
· Ensures compliance with Urban Science development standards/guidelines, quality control standards and operating procedures
· Supervises Senior Consultants/ Associates
· Actively supports and participates in Urban Science certification training programs to achieve targeted certification levels
· Other duties as assigned
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
· Responsible for all aspects of supervision of selected staff, including: hiring/termination, setting objectives, conducting performance appraisals, assigning and prioritizing work, establishing and maintaining quality, quantity and timeliness of work, transfers/promotions/demotions, interpreting and carrying out established policy, training and discipline
· Recruit, select, train, coach, mentor, manage and motivate a team of professionals capable of achieving the revenue, profit, quality, timeliness, and customer satisfaction goals established for the account.
QUALIFICATIONS

· Project management skills, including ability to define work plans, delegate work, monitor progress, and report schedule variances and/or scope changes
· Ability to work with software tools and packages used by Urban Science
· Ability to understand and implement Urban Science methodologies, products, systems
· Ability to collaborate and identify/resolve conflicts or barriers to effective teamwork
· Strong organization skills and attention to detail
· Knowledge of basic descriptive statistics
· College level math, finance and analytical skills required
· Knowledge of relational databases and ability to perform moderately complex functions
· Ability to prioritize competing demands, manage multiple concurrent tasks and adapt to changing priorities
· Oral communication skills necessary to express ideas clearly to individuals and groups, including clients, in both formal and informal settings and to deliver effective presentations
· Oral and written fluency in English and the local area language preferred
· Written communication skills necessary to develop complex documents that are clear and concise and at a level appropriate for the audience
· Ability to analyze problems, determine and implement appropriate solutions
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Must possess a combination of education and experience as follows:
· Must have a minimum of 4 years relevant work experience plus hold a baccalaureate degree in engineering, applied math, computer engineering, applied science, MIS or other technical degree, from an accredited U.S. college, university or equivalent foreign institution. May accept a business degree or other non-technical degree with demonstrated analytical and mathematical problem solving skills.
OR
· Must have a minimum of 2 years relevant work experience plus hold a master’s degree in business, engineering, applied math, computer engineering, applied science, MIS or other technical degree, from an accredited U.S. college, university or equivalent foreign institution. May accept a business degree or other non-technical degree with demonstrated analytical and mathematical problem solving skills
· Other technical degrees may be considered if complemented by demonstrated interest and ability to apply scientific knowledge to solve practical business problems and proficiency in quantitative analysis
