Purchasing Director - (Electrical components/spare parts, etc)

 

ATC, a progressive Supply Chain Management company seeks a Director of Purchasing (Electrical components/spare parts) for our Industrial Supply Chain Division (ISC) in Lyndhurst, NJ.

 

*Must have an Electrical Purchasing background.

 

Position Overview:  Individual will play an integral role on the senior management team and take a “hands-on” approach in directing the purchasing efforts of ELECTRICAL components, spare parts and equipment - I.e. - relays, valves, sensors, motors, circuits, breakers, drives, wire harnesses, etc…..)

 

Responsibilities:

 

Individual will perform and direct purchasing functions to include the selection of vendors, purchasing of electrical parts/components, negotiating supplier contracts and monitoring vendor performance. Individual will develop and implement company policies regarding purchasing.

 

Minimum 10+ yrs. purchasing experience of ELECTRICAL components and spare parts. Experience working with an OEM a plus.  BS Degree in related field required. (Engineering, Supply Chain, Logistics or Business preferred.) 

 

Able to demonstrate exceptional data analysis capabilities and have significant proficiency utilizing MS Excel.  MS Access experience a plus.  Strong knowledge of ERP systems.  CPIM and/or CPM certifications a plus.

 

Individual must be able to work independently as well as in a team environment and have the demonstrated ability to not only analyze complex databases, but also draw credible conclusions from the analysis and make specific recommendations.  Successful candidate should be analytical, resourceful and organized.
