Purchasing/Logistics Supervisor

We are seeking a Purchasing/Logistics Supervisor to manage our high-volume fulfillment system and work with personnel in a fast paced environment.  This individual will also work to expedite the efficient flow of current processes and procedures.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

·  Manage the entire lifecycle of a product, including acquisition, distribution, internal allocation, delivery, and final disposal of resources.

·  Set and execute strategic Logistics plan for e-commerce Company in hyper-growth, including but not limited to: staffing, organization, Policies and Procedures, resources, service level maintenance, third party coordination and reporting. 

·  Support logistics strategies by coordinating with management in all areas related to transportation, Warehouse and Customer Service efficiency.

·  Develop and implement auditing process for third party billing to minimize financial loss due to dimensional weight discrepancies.

·  Manage website product availability and shipping parameters based on third party vendor performance levels.

·  Coordinate with internal departments including Merchandising, Human Resources and Marketing to ensure required services are in alignment with overall corporate objectives.

·  Control the flow and storage of goods from point of inbound and internal movement to outbound customer requirements.

·  Manage, coach and develop team.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

·  Warehouse Management experience

·  Knowledgeable in International Shipping and Customs documentation

·  Excellent Policy and Procedure writing skills

·  Excellent organization and communication skills

·  Strong Analysis and Problem Solving skills

·  Strong MS office

·  Able to multi task in fast paced environment

·  E-commerce experience a plus

·  Ability to adjust in a fast-paced environment

·  Highly organized and Attention to detail

·  Provide backup support to escalated product related issues

·  Superior trouble-shooting skills

·  Demonstrated ability to use internet and intranet systems to search and find answers and solutions

·  Excellent attendance

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE (INCLUDING CERTIFICATIONS):

·  Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain or related field preferred

·  CSCP (Certified Supply Chain Professional) CPIM (Certified in Production and Inventory Management) or Certification a Plus http://www.apics.org/Certification/

·  Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office: Outlook, Word & Excel
