QUALITY CONTROL ENGINEER - AUTOMOTIVE

My Client Company is a highly respected international automotive supplier with multiple manufacturing locations in North America.  They are currently seeking a highly motivated, talented and experienced individual for a QUALITY CONTROL ENGINEER position in the Southeastern U.S.

 

The successful candidate should have:A minimum of an Associates or equivalent degree in a technical or engineering field.Two plus years experience in a manufacturing or quality related position in a foundry process environment, problem solving and performing corrective action management.Proven knowledge of statistical, process control, data collection and analysis techniques.Experience with AIAG, PPAP, APQP and other automotive quality systems.Experience in an automotive foundry environment preferred.

 

Responsibilities:Ensure that customer requirements are addressed.Selection of special characteristics, setting quality objectives and related training.Maintain communication between the company and the customer quality function, coordinating customer quality related activities within the company, including corrective and preventive action.PPAP submissions and test sample runs.Monitor scrap performance and communicate to customer performance discrepancies while working with customer to resolve them. Conduct Product AuditsGenerate quality procedures and work instructions.Assure that training and development needs are identified and programs initiated.

 

Location:  Greater Birmingham, AL area

 

Education:  Minimum of a technical Associates Degree preferred

 

Compensation: To $60k plus excellent Medical, Retirement and Relocation Benefits
