JOB SUMMARY:



Ensures product quality which satisfies customer requirements by maintaining effective quality systems through various types of analysis and testing processes.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

For Specialist, Senior Specialist and Advanced Specialist Levels

1. Analyzes and investigates parts and materials defects from suppliers to determine the root cause of the defect, develop countermeasures, issues reports to the supplier, which may include supplier visits, and follows-up on countermeasures to maintain good condition.

2. Designs, develops, improves, and updates receiving and in-process inspection standards in order to ensure quality of in-coming parts and in-process parts.

3. Develops and maintains technical reports, such as quality failure notices, deviations, process changes, etc., to ensure quality requirements.

4. Develops actions to address supplier issues and follows-up with suppliers regarding issues and concerns.

5. Provides technical support to other sections regarding part and material testing requirements, measurements, previous documents, etc.

6. Provides support to suppliers to ensure their understanding and compliance with the Supplier Quality Assurance Manual.

7. Performs supplier audits and develops countermeasures for critical quality issues.

8. Develops plans to verify new products and materials meet specifications and follows through to completion.

9. Maintains an appropriate level of conventionality and conformance in regard to the corporate culture as expressed in the Associate Handbook. Relates well with others, including as appropriate, peers, supervisor, subordinates, customers and suppliers. Maintains good attendance and assumes appropriate role(s) when working in a team environment. Responds appropriately to unexpected and/or continuing situations which develop in the work environment.

 

Minimum Requirements:

BS in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering

Co-op to 5 years experience

Proficient in Microsoft Office
