Qualifications:

Must have a Bachelor's degree, preferably in Engineering. Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering would be ideal.
Must have a solid background in the Electronics industry (PCB manufacturing, SMT, In Circuit Test, Functional Test, etc.).

Must have strong Quality Engineering experience in the Automotive industry. 
Must have a strong background in Statistical Process Control (SPC) and its application to high volume manufacturing as a problem identification and resolution tool.
Must be a top performer that either has leadership experience and/or leadership potential.
Toyota experience a plus.
Lean Manufacturing/Six Sigma experience a plus.  Must have a strong sense of urgency. Must be a confident and innovative individual and be very much a team oriented type of person. 

Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will ensure the quality system meets customer and company requirements, will develop complex quality programs, methods, and/or systems that ensure problem identification and resolution and drives continuous improvement.
Utilizes advanced statistical techniques such as design of experiments, quality function deployment and advanced quality planning methodology to optimize product performance and produceability and reduce process variation.
Understands E.S. testing requirements and uses test results to improve robustness of product/process designs to reduce potential field failures.
Defines process control requirements and measurements systems that meet prescribed test procedures defined in control plans, drawings and engineering specifications.
Develops sampling plans, quality standards and process control instructions for use by manufacturing in monitoring and reducing variation.
Evaluates returned product from customers to determine cause and preventative actions, and performs statistical analysis to determine mean time between failure rates.
Visits customer facilities and meets with quality and manufacturing management to ensure a full understanding of customer needs and requirements and to identify process and product improvement opportunities.
Lead teams that include customer and/or supplier representatives to identify and permanently resolve problems, and to nurture the customer relationship.
Applies statistical process control techniques for early identification of process problems and their immediate, permanent resolution.
Develops training programs on topics such as SPC, AQP and advanced statistics.
Present customer requirements in concurrent engineering reviews, and applies AQP techniques to evaluate the produceabilty of new products and the stability of production processes.
