Quality Engineering Systems Coordinator

Flex-N-Gate Alabama is currently recuriting for a Quality Engineering Systems Coordinator for our McCalla, Alabama facility.

The Quality Engineering Systems Coordinator is responsible for and not limited to:  Working to successfully launch customer programs on time and maintain plant wide document control and systems records for all engineering related items.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

 

* Prepares and Maintains all Engineering Department forms and manuals.

*  Organizes part manuals and tracks print levels.

*  Prepares all documentation for display at all operator work stations.

*  Tracks all engineering changes.

*  Prepares  documentation such  as FMEA's, Process Flows, Timing Charts, and Progress Reports.

*  Maintains Engineering Blue Prints and / or CAD Drawings.

*  Works with program managers,  manufacturing engineers and quality engineers. 

*  Ensures engineering changes and product launch requirements are detailed, documented, and communicated to all business areas ensuring on – time completion.

*  Develops and maintains PPAP master schedule showing all – engineering change and launch PPAP dates;

*  Maintains engineering change database- updates and communicates all engineering change requirements to the plant;

*  Updates plant staff on engineering changes and launch status for all business;

*  Reviews PPAP progress and communicates requirements to complete documents on time;

*  Assists the Engineering Manager in developing and maintaining the TS16949 system and control of documentation such as policies, work instructions and forms.

*  Tracks plant Tooling and Equipment.

*  Tracks department measurables.

 

SPECIFIC EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

HS Diploma or Equivalent required.

2-4 Year Degree in Preferred.

 

SPECIFIC WORK EXPERIENCE:

 

*  Three to five years in an automotive supplier environment working with timelines and schedule compliance.

*  Background must include work with stamping, welding and plastics processes;

*  Experience with engineering documentation:  Part Prints, CAD Drawings, FMEA, Control Plans, PPAP’s;

*  Hands on Experience working with systems such as TS16949 and ISO14001;

*  Systems Auditor Training;

*  Experience with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project;

*  Project management, interpersonal and communication skills; and

*  Ability to work under stressful conditions and with personnel at all levels of the organization.
