Quality Management Systems Specialist

  A premier technical service provider in the Upstate is looking for a

Quality Management Systems Specialist 

The QMS Specialist is responsible for providing Quality Management System (QMS) implementation support, overseeing Document & Data Control, maintaining Databases and Timelines, participating in the various Audit processes to include Corrective Action, Preventive Action and Continual Improvement Activities and create Quality & Corporate related timelines and reports.

 

PRIMARY DUTIES:Support QMS Implementation, internally and externallyReview, revise and maintain QMS controlled documents including Quality Manual, Process Diagrams, Quality Procedures, Work Instructions and Forms Review, revise and maintain databases for Audits, Corrective Action, Preventive Action and Continual Improvement Activities and report results to Top Management Conduct Internal Audits, Process Audits, Dock Audits, Layered and Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) Audits against ISO 9001, ISO/TS 16949 (Automotive) Technical Specification and AS9100 (Aerospace) Standard Conduct and lead Root Cause Analysis activities Participate in cross-functional teams with Customer interaction to develop, analyze and take action to ensure the suitability, adequacy and effectiveness with follow-up actions for:

-  Process Flow Diagram (PFD)

-  Failure Mode Effects Analysis (FMEA)

-  Control Plan  (CP)

-  Process Inspection Plan (PIP)

-  Customer Concern Notice (CCN) including 8-D Problem Solving

-  Corrective Action Request (CAR)

-  Preventive Actions Request (PAR)

-  Continual Improvement Activities (CIA)

-  Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE)

 Develop, monitor and track Quality and Corporate related timelines and reportsTrack and facilitate cross-functional team activities for resolution of concerns

Qualifications:

1. Education:

 

·  Associates or Bachelors Degree (Required)

 

2. Experience:

 

·  Five years experience in the Automotive, Aerospace and/or Marine industries

·  Certified Internal Auditor

·  Previous Document & Data Control or Document Management experience

·  QMS Implementation experience

 

3. Knowledge and skills:

 

·  Proficient knowledge of ISO 9001:2000

·  Proficient knowledge of ISO/TS 16949 (Automotive)

·  Working knowledge of AS9100 (Aerospace)

·  Possesses good writing and grammar skills

·  Computer literate in word processing, spreadsheets & databases

·  Ability to work under time lines

·  Self starter & the ability to work independently without close supervision

·  Highest level of personal integrity

·  Very detail oriented

·  Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the Organization

·  Possess excellent multi-tasking skills
