QUALIFICATIONS

RESPONSIBILITIES

 

·  Selects products for tests at specified stages in production process, and tests products for variety of qualities such as dimensions, performance, and mechanical, or electrical, characteristics.

 

·  Interprets engineering drawings, schematic diagrams, or formulas, and confers with management or engineering staff to determine quality and reliability standards.

 

·  Recommends modifications of existing quality or production standards to achieve optimum quality within limits of equipment capability.

 

·  Records test data, applying statistical quality control procedures as needed.

 

·  Evaluates data and writes reports.

 

·  Works with suppliers on quality defects and corrective actions.

 

·  Sets up and performs destructive and nondestructive tests on materials, parts, or products to measure performance, life, or material characteristics.

 

·  Prepares graphs or charts of data or enters data into computer for analysis.

 

·  Investigates quality problems and assists/provides information to customers, suppliers, and others as needed.

 

·  Follows ISO14001 and TS16949 procedures/processes.

 

·  Participates in plant recycling programs including but not limited to metal, office paper, aluminum can, aerosol cans, and cardboard recycling and foam return.

 

·  Performs other duties as assigned.

 

·  The Quality Technician’s function contributes to the achievement of the quality/management objectives by ensuring quality policies, procedures, and processes are followed.
