Allison Transmission designs, manufactures and markets automatic transmissions and Hybrid propulsion systems for on-highway trucks and buses, off-highway vehicles and equipment and military vehicles worldwide. Position Description

Lead the SAP Finance and Controlling (FI/CO) Team in production support and new enhancement development.

Work closely with other SAP Team Leads to ensure smooth and coordinated enhancements to Allison Transmission’s enterprise-wide SAP implementation.  Other Teams include SAP Sales & Distribution (SD), Materials Management (MM), Warehouse Management (WM), Production Planning (PP), Variant Configurator (VC), Advance Planner & Optimizer (APO), and Business Information Warehouse (BW).

Establish and monitor procedures for FI/CO batch jobs, print output, EDI interfaces, etc.  Transfer SAP FI/CO knowledge to other team members as well as users of FI/CO modules.

Develop an Information Technology vision regarding Financial Processes.  Work closely with financial leaders to ensure that Information Technology direction is aligned with business initiatives.  Develop and manage a roadmap of Information Technology projects to fulfill this vision.

Establish an applications architecture that streamlines flow of data between applications.  Incorporate this architecture in the design and implementation of new systems.

Support existing applications through management of development and administration resources.  Oversee use of third party support services.

Participate within the Allison Transmission, Inc. Information Technology organization to establish application standards for the implementation of SAP’s FI/CO Modules.

Fulfill departmental requirements for reporting, budgeting, personal development, etc

Position Requirements

Bachelors of Science degree in Engineering, Computer Science, MIS, or related disciplines

Required:

Demonstrated ability to lead and work in a large, cross-functional, matrixed organization.

Candidates must have 3+ years experience in leading SAP development projects and configuring SAP's FI/CO Modules and the development of functional and technical specifications for ABAP programmers.

Five years experience in information technology supporting financial systems.

Employment history of successful IT project implementations with increasing project scopes using formal PM methodology.

Thorough understanding of computer and data communication technologies.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
US Citizenship or Permanent Resident Required.

Preferred:

Candidates should have 7 years of business experience in a systems development and implementation role and a track record of successful system implementations.

Demonstrated knowledge of CMMI practices.

Practical experience configurating SAP FI/CO modules domestically and internationally.

Five years experience in managing multiple IT providers in an outsourced services model

Candidates should be a self-starter capable of leading a large team through complex systems implementations.  Candidates should be well organized and capable of juggling numerous project priorities.
