Section Manager - Quality

Supports and coordinates cross plant vehicle quality investigation activities, root cause identification, and countermeasure plans. Interfaces with manufacturing plants, material handling, and other work groups to ensure vehicle production is maintained with an acceptable quality level. Conducts vehicle inspections and audits of finished vehicles to verify conformance to quality standards, and provides feedback to manufacturing to facilitate corrective action and improvement activities. Manages and directs functions relative to warranty processing, ISO9000 certification and compliance, important process certification and compliance, and JD Power functions. Manages NNA-Smyrna lab 1 material testing for current and new material development.QualificationsA four-year degree in engineering required.1. Six to ten years of related experience at a professional level.Working knowledge of word processor, spreadsheet, other PC applications, or mainframe applications to produce non-standard, creative products.Excellent communication and motivational skills. Thorough knowledge of NNA-Canton systems and procedures, vehicle build, vehicle dynamics, and trouble shooting or repair of vehicles. Background in quality. Advanced understanding of statistical process control. Two or more years as a manager, providing leadership, coaching, guidance, and training and contributing to staff development. Supervised subordinates or contractors with somewhat differentiated roles.
