Investigates, identifies, analyzes and develops strategic sourcing opportunities for Nissan North America from leading competitive countries (LCC) in support of North American Headquarters purchasing operations.2. Responsible for developing and executing sourcing strategies through collaboration with other departments to create scope, project timelines, cost analysis and contractual terms and conditions.3. Acts as subject matter expert utilizing various tools such as research and industry/marketplace tools to support strategic sourcing initiatives.4. Works closely with the Nissan Global Service Efficiencies (GSE) team in developing North American innovative cost reduction initiatives.5. As necessary, performs other related duties of which the above are representative.Minimum QualificationsThe following qualification statements reflect the minimum skills and abilities required of the qualified applicant. 1. Job Knowledge and Skill:Strong knowledge of global best practices for souring in LCC countries (i.e.; India, China, Mexico, Philippines, Eastern Europe), including strong experience with global outsourcing and off-shoring contracts, complex global negotiations, currency conversion valuations, cross-cultural problem solving and global supplier development. Well versed in conducting in-depth global research and benchmarking, financial analysis of both business proposals and assessing a companys financial strengths or weaknesses. Strong executive presentation skills, excellent interpersonal skills; ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously. Ability to work independently. Ability to speak multiple languages a plus.2. Experience:Seven or more years of directly related professional-level purchasing experience buying purchased services and products in an indirect purchasing environment, including at least two years working directly with LCC suppliers.3. Education:Bachelors degree in a business related discipline. MBA is a plus. Consider equivalent related college or technical courses, seminars and in-house classroom training.4. Computer Skills:Working knowledge of word processor, spreadsheet, other PC applications, or mainframe applications to produce non-standard, creative products.
