POSITION SUMMARY
Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for preparing consolidated reporting packages for YNA including performance to forecast and variance analysis. The Senior Financial Analyst is also responsible for preparing functional group monthly and year-to-date reporting including performance to forecast and variance analysis This position may require the mentoring of department associates and will serve as lead on department projects as assigned

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Support the preparation of consolidated monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements. Prepare monthly and year to date consolidated KPI reports. Perform budget to actual variance analysis and explanations.
• Support BU meetings and coordinate with internal and external auditors as required.
• Participate in the coordination, development, and review of short term and long term forecast information for designated, groups.
• Support Functional groups by providing performance to forecast detail, ensuring proper classification of expenses and reviewing monthly detail with the Functional groups.
• Accrual/reserve management to ensure the transactions are recorded in accordance with GMP.
• Utilize business experience and technical knowledge to analyze complex events and provide guidance to the Functional groups for closure.
• Preparation of monthly outlooks highlighting opportunities and risks to the company Ensure completion of data going beyond traditional accrual/reserve lists. Provide assessments of each event as to confidence levels and action items for closure.
• Advanced level of communication involved in disseminating financial information through town halls and large group meetings. Occasionally lead meetings covering multiple disciplines (Finance, Operations, Sales, Purchasing, etc) to drive change.
• Mentoring of department associates including Financial Analysts and Accountants as required fostering associate development.
• Other duties to include but are not limited to: process allocations, prepare and post adjustments, perform month end reconciliations, perform consolidations, prepare trial balance, generate close related reports and analysis, generate inventory reports and analysis.

DISTINCTIVE REQUIREMEN
• Bachelors degree in Finance/Accounting
• Minimum of 5 years Finance/Accounting experience preferably in the automotive industry.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• IT skills: JDEdwards, Future3, AS400 queries, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint a plus. Will train as required.
