Senior Project Development Engineer

This leading manufacturing company has an excellent opportunity for a Senior Project Development Engineer.· The purpose of this managerial position is to coordinate and perform a wide variety of functional engineering assignments utilizing embedded controls experience and expertise as well as the application of standard principles, theories, concepts and techniques. The result is the design and development of commercial truck product and software. This position will take a leading role in the Electrical Engineering group.· At least 10 years experience in engineering product development· Must be able to travel up to 20% of the time· Demonstrated experience in Vehicular Systems Engineering· At least 5 years experience managing technical professionals, preferably in a union environment· Significant experience in electronic product design and development with hardware and software elements· Able to interface effectively with and develop relationships with internal and external customers/suppliers· Demonstrated ability to successfully drive continuous improvement of electronic products in areas of cost, reliability, and function Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Science· Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal· Demonstrated experience in project management including software development time and resource budgeting· Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks· Skilled in building and developing effective teams· Demonstrated experience in the use of Quality tools· Demonstrated experience working in and leading others in a global (multi-site) engineering environment· Skilled in timely decision making and conflict management· Demonstrated ability to conduct design reviews, feasibility studies, develop strategic plans · Masters or Bachelors in Electrical Engineering preferred An excellent benefit and relocation package is offered.    MRINetwork is the largest and most successful search organization in the world.
