Senior Service Training Instructor

REQUIREMENTS: Professionally present technical training courses Freightliner LLC trucks and/or engines. Course instruction will be to dealers, vehicle/engine customers, regional and corporate personnel, but mainly to technicians in order to improve their ability to repair and maintain Freightliner LLC products. Prepare, acquire and develop training materials, aids, equipment, and vehicles used for each course. Responsible for the entire presentation, including preparation, student computer setup, training aid setup and maintenance. Review and revise course material for content, technical accuracy and instructional effectiveness. Assist with new program development by submitting detailed mark-ups, recommended shop exercises, and course improvement suggestions. Ensure current product knowledge through study of repair and maintenance literature, techniques, procedures and equipment. Ensure that training course content utilizes the safest, most efficient and most economical procedures. Maintain the training center, including assets, tools, vehicles, equipment and inventory of handouts. Oversee local contractors who handle janitorial, catering, security, supply and repair, to ensure quality cost effective service. Complete training reports as necessary. Lead or cross-train other Service Training Instructors.BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: Four year vocational education or technical degree and at least five years of service training experience are required. Thorough mechanical knowledge and competence with Freightliner truck products or engine products (Detroit Diesel Corp., Mercedes-Benz) is required. Candidate must have excellent communication skills.
