Senior Unix Systems Administrator

/ Working in a global Unix support team, the Senior UNIX systems administrator will be responsible for managing and supporting the server-based Unix environment. Responsibilities also include providing third level support to the site-based support group on server and OS related issues. The UNIX administrator should meet all of the skills outlined below. - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field is required- At least 3 years experience in AIX administration- Must be knowledgeable in pSeries hardware- Must have experience in at least three of the following areas: AIX, Storage Area Networks, FastT (DS4800 Storage Subsystem), NFS, Shell scripting, logical partitioning via Hardware Management Console, backup and disaster recovery- A working knowledge of AIX 5L and HACMP is desired- Must have excellent communication, organizational and documentation skills- Should have the ability to quickly diagnose and fix critical server problems, and react to user problems and requests in a timely and professional manner
