Sr Scheduling Analyst

This position is accountable for scheduling and analyzing all necessary manufacturing processes by which Tapered Single (TS) bearing customer orders are produced.  The fundamental elements of the manufacturing processes are the process flow path, process costs, testing and inspection, in-process product characteristics, finished product quality and process yield.  Dimensional knowledge of TS products and knowledge of the associated manufacturing processes are major components of this position.Key responsibilities include: 1. Create the manufacturing schedule for all TS orders – determine the required manufacturing sequence of operations.2. Direct planning/scheduling functions in changing process paths and work centers to balance loads.  Monitor and guide Sr Production Technicians in choosing viable alternatives to the original process plan.  3. Use and evaluated SAP software.  Identify design enhancements to SAP and develop expertise in the use of SAP.4. Manage and analyze all inventories.  Proactively make recommendations that meet business & customer needs.  Responsible for On Time Delivery (OTD) and Pass Due (PD) reporting.  5. Must ensure leveling of production demand to meet available manning capacity. Responsible for implementing and monitoring rough cut capacity planning.6. Define process path input for demand planning.  Provide order specific process paths to demand planning for the assignment of shipment dates & load analysis.7. Function as the lead point of contact for corporate demand planning regarding any scheduling issues.Communicate and coordinate with TS internal and external suppliers. Two year or four year degree in Business or related field.  5-8 years experience in planning, scheduling or manufacturing.  Proven ability to understand numbers and effectively communicate information to external & internal customers.  Minimum 1 year SAP or related database user experience. Must display high level of computer & data entry skills, time management and attention to detail.  Must have proven ability to analyze data, recognize discrepancies and quickly report concerns to appropriate people.  Watch our video to  learn more about us. www.timken.com
