Sr Supervisor IT, Business Intelligence

QUALIFICATIONS/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSProvide management oversight for IT Business Intelligence Group RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide leadership and operational management, which may include, but is not limited to: responsibility for forecasting, budget management, and prioritization of projects, resource management and staffing of groups related to Business Intelligence. Collaborate with IT Managers to ensure integrated processes are established. Responsible for defining the processes and standards to be used in the delivery of services. Prepare RFPs for professional service engagements with rite sourced providers and continually develop plans to broaden rite sourcing solutions for the BI Service Center. Manage BI supplier contracts for services. Manage IT Work Requests. Review, assign, and provide oversight on break/fix and enhancement requests pertaining to the above technologies. Manage to service level agreements for support and base service requests. Responsible for staffing resources on work requests and managing the utilization of the resources. Also responsible for providing staffing on projects and establishing, publishing and maintaining job descriptions for the above technologies. Responsible for managing the operating budget of the BI Service Center. Must track key expense areas that impact the cost center budget and report findings to senior management. Ability to foster teamwork and perform career development for direct reports along with delivering performance evaluations for staff. Establish clear goals and ratings. Be actively engaged in continuous improvement within the department, improving internal IT processes in order to deliver systems within budget and timeline. Possess strong formal and interpersonal communications skills. Expresses ideas effectively in individual and group situations. Help develop a vision for the Business Intelligence group. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelors’ degree in Information Technology or related field of study and five years of progressive Information Technology, management experience. At least two years experience in a Business Intelligence role. Familiarity with BI concepts such as ETL, normalization, data modeling and end-user reporting.The candidate must be a self-starter with excellent decision-making, problem solving, and technical writing skills, and be able to work independently while maintaining good communication with co-workers for team oriented approaches.
