Sr. Test Engineer - Cab Electronics

QUALIFICATIONS/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSREQUIREMENTS: •Plan, organize, lead and execute test activities related to vehicle electronics. This includes Cab and Body controllers, Heating and Air Conditioning (HVAC) controllers, instrument clusters, lighting modules and power distribution modules. •Develop test plans identifying objectives, applicable standards, manpower requirements, required test equipment, and calibration procedures. •Generate Design Verification Plan and Reports (DVP&R) for various test programs and specific requests. •Develop detailed test procedures when existing procedures do not exist and update the DVP&R database as required. •Document test results with conclusions and recommendations via formal reports and presentations to responsible parties and/or Engineering Management.•Ensure project documentation of tests and recommendations are accurate, concise, and quickly distributed to responsible stakeholders for immediate action. •Provide engineering technical assistance to personnel within and outside of the department.•Actively pursue advancements in tools related to testing and measurement. •Proactively, maintain a transparent environment that fosters efficiency, a high state of morale, and teamwork.•Fulfill ISO requirements.BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: A Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (Electrical preferred) and a minimum of four years experience, or an associates degree and a minimum of six years experience is required. Requires a strong working knowledge of transportation electronic testing both hardware and software including CAN communication networks. Candidate should possess strong electrical troubleshooting skills and working knowledge of Environmental and Electrical Stress Testing Methods and Standards. Candidate must be well organized and flexible to ever changing situations while maintaining focus on high priority projects. Candidate must be professional and is required to have excellent verbal and written communications skills. Candidate is required to be a team player committed to team development and have a passion for product quality. The candidate should be an enthusiastic self-starter who enjoys challenges and can add value with innovative solutions.
