System Kiosk Engineer

NCR is core focused on Multi Industry Self Service solutions.  Job Description: NCR Entertainment Group in Schaumburg, IL is seeking an engineer to perform product research, testing and product sustaining engineering activities for NCR Xpress DVD and Merchandising Kiosk solutions. In this position, you will: • Understand and maintain PLC code set for kiosk robotic control. • Act as librarian and company interface for product regulatory lab certification, including UL/CSA/FCC/CE/WEEE/RoHs. • Engineering group liaison to NCR technician service organization. • Component level expert on system peripherals. • System testing – validation and documentation procedures and protocols • Outdoor system testing criteria and planning. • Troubleshooting system hardware and software issues. • Some travel requirements Basic Requirements • BS degree in Engineering, Bachelor’s degree in Engineering. • PLC, Motion Control or Automation Experience • Travel up to 15% Desired Skills and Experience • IEC611-31 PLC programming experience. • Project management experience. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Outstanding organizational skills • Basic electrical and schematic knowledge.
