TECH - Test Technician I

For quick consideration apply hereWorking in an Engine Testing facility that has a variety of testing methods, data acquisition software and type of tests. This position requires the ability and flexibility to learn and cover a variety of Engine, Powertrain, and Durability Tests. Daily involvement the collection, reviewing and validation of data for accuracy and completeness and make recommendations to engineering. The ability to fabricate basic fixtures for certain tests. Must be able to interact with Tech Specialists and Supervisors on updates/new test procedures, equipment, and methods. Have computer skills to be able to verify the calibration and maintenance of test equipment and test systems. Install engines on dynamometer, hook up instrumentation, conduct test, change engine parts if necessary, and remove engine and instrumentation.Minimum 2 years experience in engines/powertrain dynamometer testing or other similar testing techniques. The ideal candidate is one working towards an Associates degree in Automotive Technology or posses related field or equivalent experience. Having completed core instrumentation and automotive courses in Automotive Technology. Experience in Engines (teardown and rebuild) Testing on Dynamomenters a plus. Diesel engine experience a plus. Good interpersonal skills (team player), computer literate (PC's), oral and written skills. For quick consideration apply here
