Technical Infrastructure Lead

Visteon Corporation, in a strategic recruiting partnership with Manpower Business Solutions, would like for you to consider the following opportunity with us:The Technical Infrastructure Team has responsibility for Visteon’s Global IT infrastructure specifically associated with the discipline of large scale Mainframe Systems, Midrange Systems & Administration (UNIX, SAP, and Database), CAD/CAE infrastructure and solutions, network infrastructure solutions, Messaging system solutions and WEB delivery infrastructure. This position will identify Technical Infrastructure business requirements and translate requirements into successfully managed design and implementation projects within the defined IT strategy. The Technical Manager will be responsible for leading the design and implementation of the computing environment for areas identified in the IT Strategic Sourcing Strategy, including portions or all of the Technical Infrastructure area. The TM will also manage the turnover of Technical Infrastructure projects to outsourced computing infrastructure environment and service providers.YEARS EXPERIENCE: 10+ years experience in Information Technology, with 5+ years in design and implementation of strategic Technical Infrastructure.DEGREE STRONGLY PREFERRED: BA or BS in relevant field and an advanced degree is strongly desiredDESIRED COMPETENCIES/EXPERIENCE:Stronger preference will be given to candidates who possess: AIX, Unix and Virtualization Consolidator (ex. Sun Containers or IBM WPARS - workplace partitions, etc.).Work Process Accountabilities:- Manage computing infrastructure provider’s delivery performance by focusing on: Project and service request implementation performance for multiple projects Results of testing and reviewing the capabilities and functioning of the Technical Infrastructure- Identify improvement opportunities and define projects or service requests for their implementation- Identify and define project requirements for changes required to support Visteon’s business requirements or new application solutions- Lead the Design, Test and Implementation of Technical Infrastructure solutions using methodologies, tools and policies of Visteon- Identification and definition of Visteon’s business requirements and their translation into specific projects or service requests- Review of the service provider’s performance on both a scheduled and an ad hoc basis to the metrics in the master service agreement- Management of multiple simultaneous design, implementation and management efforts related to the Technical Infrastructure computing environment- Design, implementation and validation of the internal Technical Infrastructure computing environment using industry best practices- Assess cost/impact of strategy and project proposals and recommend solutions.- Develop and maintain IT Technical Infrastructure standards for the corporationKey Deliverables:- Service Level Management Reporting- Business requirement analysis and required service requests;- Weekly Key Item Reports and monthly status documents on progress of projects and service requests;
