Tool Maker

Primary function is to plan, construct, alter and repair a wide variety of tools, dies, jigs, fixtures, and gauges to very close tolerances.  Performs development work, difficult tool room machine operations, does skilled fitting, timing and adjusting.  Determines metal flow in dies, makes tool try-outs, diagnoses and corrects trouble.

 

Essential Skills, Knowledge, Experience:

Minimum of ten years experience. High school diploma (or equivalent) required. Good verbal communication skills.  Decision making, problem solving, and negotiation skills. Ability to use good judgment, and make independent decisions.  Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
