Tool Room / Die Repair Manager

You must have the following experience and background or you will not be qualified for this job: ·  Experience being responsible for the DIE tooling and maintenance of tooling for a large stamping operation.·  Experience should include classification and retrieval storage systems for Dies, Maintenance of Dies to include inspection, repair, rebuild or replace decisions.·  Strong and stable work history and excellent business references.·  Experience with metal working and Tool & Die operations and automotive productivity programs specifically TPS (Toyota Production System)·   Excellent communications and people skills·  Experience with planning and scheduling and experience as a Supervisor·  Experience with machine repair, precision tolerances, press operations and Die set-up and testing, problem solving, and process improvements.  ·  Familiarity with press tooling or Tool &Die is required.·  This position will have direct reports and will be responsible for Die availability and performance on all shifts.  If you are qualified, please send your resume to me at tony@jobquestsite.com as an attachment in MS Word or Corel WordPerfect format. Description Summary: (The statements included in this job description are intended to reflect, in general, the duties and responsibilities of this position and are not intended to be interpreted as being all inclusive.)   Job responsibilities include scheduling of Die Maintenance and supervision of the Die Maintenance Dept. is the primary duty.  Prime importance will be production uptime of equipment.  Scheduling of repairs or modifications and scheduling of purchased parts is part of this position.  Technical knowledge and expertise in a large stamping operation would be the ideal background. Qualified individuals must have strong Tool &Die knowledge and expertise. Previous management experience is required. Analyzes maintenance schedules and makes recommendations to enhance production. Position will be information source for all Die related stamping concerns.  Will support company policies and programs.  Requirements: This position requires a minimum of 6 years of strong and related experience doing similar duties in a stamping operation. The company prefers a degree or Tool and Die apprenticeship but will consider experience that is a close match.
