Vehicle Distribution Manager- Fuso Account

QUALIFICATIONS/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSManage the daily operations of the Distribution Department for all product lines by performing the following duties.REQUIREMENTS: Manages the wholesale and retail sales processing and distribution of Sterling’s product. Works with ports and carriers with regard to processing and shipping our trucks in a timely manner. Handles problems as they arise. Ensure that we provide customer service to our dealers as well as our field staff with various issues including truck availability, order assignment, shipping status, sales programs and procedures. Prepare monthly sales reports as required and attend meetings as necessary. Work with other departments such as Finance, Accounting and Concessions to ensure that proper systems are in place to process truck sales as efficiently and accurately as possible. Directly supervises one employee in Distribution. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: Associate’s Degree or equivalent from a two year college or technical school; five to seven years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write reports and business correspondence. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of customers or employees of organization. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Manages difficult or emotional customer situations; Responds promptly to customer needs; Solicits customer feedback to improve service; Responds to requests for service and assistance; Meets commitments. Develops workable implementation plans; Communicates changes effectively; Builds commitment and overcomes resistance; Prepares and supports those affected by change. Must have good working knowledge of database software, internet software, order processing systems, spreadsheet software and word processing software.
