ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITYVEHICLE DYNAMICS RESEARCH ENGINEER The Vehicle Dynamics Research department of the Toyota Technical Center Division (TTC) has a current opportunity for an Engineer to meet expanding responsibilities for benchmarking and problem analysis activities. This position requires an enthusiastic, hardworking self starter to join our talented team in Wittmann, AZ, approximately 60 miles Northwest from Phoenix, AZ. Working as a team with the Vehicle Dynamics Research Staff, our engineer will support and lead projects. The duties and responsibilities include: Subjectively evaluate vehicle for brake, ride comfort, handling and dynamic stability by advanced driving techniques Objectively measure vehicle dynamic and component performance by data acquisition system and other measurement equipment Evaluate, coordinate and report of Brake Field test and Dynamic Research Benchmarking Research North American market trends (Customer preference of dynamic performance), vehicle and environment Assist vehicle chassis systems development for N.A. market Manage and coordinate vehicle, manpower and test resources Lead and work with others to accomplish objectives Solve complex vehicle dynamics problems Bachelors of Science in Mechanical Engineering More than three year of engineering experience for Vehicle Dynamics. Brake experience is preferable Strong interest in automobiles is a plus Knowledge of vehicle dynamics and/or chassis systems Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to write reports and make presentations Hands-on automotive mechanical skills Willingness / aptitude for continuous learning Capable of working overtime and traveling Easily adjusts to new requests and changing schedules Ability to work in multi-cultural environment PC experience (Word, Excel, etc) High performance Driving Experience Excellent driving record Formula SAE experience is an advantageCompensation & Benefits Toyota offers a competitive salary that rewards performance and dedication.
