Vice PResident Of Sales
Nitto Tires, the Tires for Extreme Performance, has an opening for a Vice President of Sales with Tire Industry background.
SUMMARY:
The Vice President of Sales is accountable for the attainment of the assigned annual and mid-term national unit and dollar sales goals, by developing and presenting Sales Programs necessary to meet the assigned goals. The Vice President of Sales is accountable for the supervision of Sales Representatives and the Customer Service Department. In addition, soliciting new accounts where needed, as well as developing and maintaining a professional level with key clients. The Vice President of sales is accountable for developing and maintaining a detailed Market Share and Market Condition Analysis.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Sales Accountability:
· Achieve annual and mid-term unit and dollar sales goals.
· Analyze and identify sales and operating by Sales Representatives on a daily/monthly basis. Develop and implement written corrective plans of action as required improving performance.
Sales Program Accountability:
· Plan, develop and recommend effective Sales Programs to attain company goals.
· Evaluate and recommend annual sales plan for each customers.
· Provide and coordinate input for pricing.
· Assist in developing and identifying new products in all categories.
Supervisory Accountability:
· Effectively supervise and assign sales personnel and the Customer Service Department to insure the development and accomplishment of established sales objectives.
· Expeditiously control expense through the monitoring and review of sales department expenses.
· Coordinate, direct, and train Sales Representatives.
· Develop, maintain, and monitor all corrective plans of action.
Professional Relationship Accountability:
In unison with Sales Representatives, develop and maintain good business relationships with major accounts through periodic contacts and proper handling of sales and administrative functions.
New Business Accountability:
Direct and coordinate the efforts of the business development in solicitation and signing of new tire dealers in designated markets.
Market Share and Market Analysis Accountability:
Create and maintain an analysis report on Nitto’s actual Market Share by product category on a quarterly basis.
SUPERVISORY REQUIREMENTS:
Directly supervises Sales Representatives. Indirectly supervises CSR’s through the direct supervision of the Customer Service Manager.
QUALIFICATIONS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to manage each accountability skillfully. EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:
Four-year college degree and 10 years related work experience in the tire industry (experience with Bridgestone/Firestone).
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Good verbal and written English language skills.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Personal computer skills to include word processing and spreadsheets required. Also needed are tire product knowledge, sales and motivational skills, goal and service oriented management and budgeting skills.
