Vice President -  Manufacturing Volvo Powertrain North America  Reports to:  Senior Vice President, Volvo Powertrain North AmericaIndirectly reports to: Senior Vice President, Volvo Powertrain Manufacturing Overall responsibility and accountability for all manufacturing related activities and results of the Volvo Powertrain manufacturing operations in Hagerstown, Maryland including developing strategies and processes that facilitate expanded market exposure and are aligned with Volvo Powertrain’s global manufacturing strategy.  Includes the integration of global manufacturing activities, processes and systems towards, a lean, World Class operation. Core Responsibilities include:·  Overall operational and strategic responsibility for all aspects of the manufacture of engines, transmissions and components·  Provide effective leadership, coordination and general direction to the Hagerstown Manufacturing operations that promotes and supports the VPT mission statement, principles, vision and culture and creates a world class manufacturing environment·  Establish goals and objectives in alignment with the VPT manufacturing strategy·  Develop, direct and implement strategic manufacturing management plans, policies, procedures, and systems in order to achieve overall manufacturing and quality, delivery and financial targets regarding organizational efficiency, product quality, delivery performance and profit improvement. ·  Maintain budgetary control for the manufacturing operations and multimillion dollar expenditures to ensure compliance with company objectives, procedures and goals by monitoring costs and overseeing management reporting. ·   Minimum Education and Experience: ·  Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in engineering or business administration or related discipline, or equivalent experience. ·  10 years in an upper management position preferably within an automotive, heavy duty truck or original equipment manufacturing environment ·  Practical experience developing a lean, World Class operation
