Delphi is a world leader in mobile electronics and transportation components and systems technology.  We provide innovative solutions to a wide range of challenges in both the automotive and non-automotive industries.  Join us in the key role of Western Region Sales.  Delphi is headquartered in Troy, MI, but this job is to cover various cities in our Western Region.

 

DESCRIPTION:

 

Meet annual territory sales, margin, and expense objectives.

Execute aftermarket strategy with key distribution partners.

Intense focus on members as well as their jobbers and service shops or dealers.

Sell an OE value proposition throughout the entire parts channel.

Provide competitive feedback to product teams on products and promotions.

Identify, target, and implement strategies to secure new customers and place new products into existing customers.

Participate in regional customer shows and events.

Schedule required training clinics.

Assist with the sales of ISS (Integrated service solutions) training and diagnostic service products.

Work with Finance, marketing, logistics, and sales administration personnel to ensure both customer and company objectives are met.

Develop and promote/close Delphi Service Center Program meet sales objectives.

Managers Co-op requests, warranty and returns for designated area.

REQUIRED:

Must have at least 2 years of Aftermarket sales or comparable work.

Individual must have excellent selling, writing, verbal, presentation, and time management skills.

Individual needs to be capable of working with customers, peers, and personnel to accomplish both long and short range goals.

Understanding of basic business principles to include: sales, margin, profit, return on investment, inventory turns and control.

Must have ability to communicate effectively with executive level personnel, small business owners, in a customer and company environment.

Willingness to work extended hours when necessary to include evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Must be willing to travel up to 50% of the time.

Individual must be willing and capable of working in an independent environment with little or no guidance.

Person must be a self starter, have a never give up attitude, and capable of accepting rejection while meeting all objectives.

Strong technical ability or background - ASE designation a plus.
