Accountant - Regulatory Reporting

We are looking for detail-oriented and customer-service focused individuals who can work effectively whether independently or with a team while juggling multiple priorities.  The position will offer the opportunity for a high level of exposure to senior management.

Position Summary: Assist and prepare of OTS and SEC regulatory reports, including 10K, 10Q, 8K, FR2900, TFR, COF CMR and others in a timely and efficient manner.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

· Prepare Thrift Financial, Consolidated Maturity, H(B)11, and FR2900 reports.

· Prepare work papers and schedules for the compilation of 10-Q/10-K.

· Prepare monthly Board of Director financial package, BS, P&L and variance analysis.

· Responsible for keeping up to date with current and changing banking regulations.

· Assist in compiling data for Asset/Liability and Interest Rate Risk analysis quarterly.

· Prepare and maintain entries for various General Ledger accounts.

· Act as a back-up in other Accounting Department functions including, but not limited to, cash management and investment functions.

· Ensure that all correspondence and work papers are maintained in an orderly fashion.

· None

 

Background and Experience:

· Ability to make sound judgments with limited information.

· Ability to perform accounting calculations such as capital ratios, premiums/discounts and yields.

· Ability to present information to management, auditors and regulators effectively.

· Ability to interpret written or oral instructions.

· Ability to define problems, conduct research, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions from accounting and non-accounting sources.

· Degree in Finance or Accounting

· Minimum of 3 years relevant accounting experience; public accounting & CPA a plus.

· Banking / regulatory reporting experience

· Working knowledge of accounting systems software

· Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word
