Accounting Clerk

Major Responsibilities Support cash management and analysis functions as required Bank – Reconciliations Update product specific reports daily Update average balance reports daily Release ACH – update ACH report daily Reconcile clearing accounts Maintain deposit schedules & files Prepare and enter adjusting journal entries in financial systems Record monthly activity on the General Ledger Assist in maintenance of account reconciliations on weekly basis Perform research and analysis of account variances Create documentation and support of research findings Perform Sarbanes-Oxley testing and prepare testing templates for review by the Controller and CFO Assist with quarterly reporting Maintain records to support annual audits Assist Controller with special projects Create & maintain new filing system Document new procedures & processes Create Chart of Account profile for audits Problem-solving skills and effective communication abilities are necessary. Bank accounting experiences a plus, degree preferred. Minimum 2-3 years general accounting experience. Understanding of accounting concepts and financial statement presentation. Strong working knowledge with spreadsheets required. General ledger experience is required (PeopleSoft preferred). Proven ability to produce accurate work under tight deadlines. Able to manage multiple priorities and tasks. Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization and detail oriented.
