We are seeking an uncommon professional to join our Life & Health Product team as an Actuary. The anticipated primary product line emphasis will be Long Term Care Insurance but to support cross-training and professional development, you will also be involved in other Life or Accidents products as appropriate.

Top responsibilities for this position include…

• Supporting life, health and long-term care insurance product pricing and profit analysis
• Analyze product experience and develop pricing assumptions
• Conduct independent analysis and develop new and creative solutions to actuarial issues
• Support compliance and actuarial certification requirements
• Support and influence product development and product implementation projects
• Serve as a product expert and an actuarial viewpoint expert on actuarial subjects an don company, industry, and regulatory practices
• Interact with various levels of management, external audiences such as the state departments of insurance, and occasionally with customers such as sales representatives

You must bring to the table…

• FSA preferred but will consider ASA (on FSA track) completed with 5+ years of professional actuarial experience
• Life or health experience
• Pricing and product development experience ideal
• Strong modeling experience
• Demonstrated leadership abilities
• Proven ability to communicate technical concepts and influence non-technical audiences in informal & formal settings
• Proven ability to write reports to influence decisions and make recommendations & present ideas

Open to position location in either Madison, WI or our Waverly, IA campus.
