Agency Mortgage Underwriter

We have an immediate opening for Agency Mortgage Underwriter.

This position will be responsible for credit/collateral review and program compliance to ensure salability and marketability in secondary market with minimum risk exposure to the company. The turnaround time for all files submitted into underwriting is 48 hours maximum. Assisting loan processors with scenarios/situations. Seek/offer alternative programs/solutions. Instruct loan reps/processors with guidelines and requirements. Review all new changes for program compliance. Review suspense conditions and make decision to approve or reject. Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

High School diploma or equivalent required. 5 years of experience as an agency (FHA/VA) loan processor and/or underwriter required. Must have DE Certification. LAP Approval preferred. Must have strong decision making abilities. Must be detail oriented and flexible.
