The Specialized Finance Group is responsible for structuring and arranging transactions in the segments of Acquisitions Finance, Commodities Finance, Asset Backed Finance, Corporate and Financial Institutions, and Trade Finance.  The New York team covers all of Latin America.

 


Qualifications





Qualified candidates must have an undergraduate degree and at least two years investment banking experience with a top tier investment bank. Relevant coursework in finance, economics and/or accounting. Credit Analysis and financial modeling background a requirement. Strong quantitative skills, including solid knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, as well as strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to learn on the job, acquire skills quickly, work independently and perform assignments with high attention to detail. A strong work ethic and commitment to the job is expected.  This position requires fluency in Spanish and/or Portuguese.


Position description





Analyst will work with and be an integral member of the New York based team within the Specialized Finance Team. He or she will work with a five people team in New York and he / she will be expected to conduct research on markets and companies,  analyze historical and projected financial statements, review company information and prepare credit analysis and due diligence on companies across Latin America.  Day to day tasks will include:

 

-  Financial / Credit Analysis

-  Financial Modeling

-  Prepare pitch material, proposal letters and detailed term sheets.

-  Prepare offering recommendations and sales materials

 

In addition, the Analyst may be asked, on occasion, to work with the industry groups within the Bank including Trading, Sales and Research as well as on internal projects, such as business planning, There will be an opportunity to interact with personnel in the other offices within the Specialized Finance, Debt Capital Markets, Credit, and Corporate Banking groups, primarily in London, Johannesburg, São Paulo, Mexico City, Bogota and Buenos Aires.
