Application Production Support Analyst

POSITION OVERVIEW: Responsible for administering and maintaining Green Dot’s applications/systems/processes, including some 3rd party applications, in the Production environment. PRIMARY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES/EXPECTATIONS:  Facilitates the resolution of production application issues by acting as the liaison between the business users and various technology groups. Provides Level 1 and 2 application support; identifies, analyzes, troubleshoots all production application incidents in a timely manner. Ensures all support incidents are logged, tracked, and resolved in the incident management tool (Jira). Manages and monitors trends related to production application issues; develops metrics and generates reports on a regular basis. Works with stakeholders on the proper identification and ranking of reported incidents. Communicates incident statuses to all levels of Management. Participates fully in application release management cycles, including scheduled/unscheduled maintenance activities impacting the Production environment. Coordinates the deployment of hotfixes and scheduled development releases into the Testing and Production environments. Works closely with various technology groups to determine solutions to reported issues. Collaborates with Developers and Testers on test plans. Works with QA to test solutions as necessary. Executes pre-deployment checklist on development releases (sign-off) after QA completion by validating the test coverage and results. Escalates issues or decisions when appropriate. Reviews application fixes after implementation to ensure compliance to specifications and objectives as well as backward compatibility with existing systems. Maintains a high degree of business functional knowledge and current automated technologies and tools.REQUIRED Minimum of 5 years professional experience in an IT environment. Minimum of 2 years professional experience supporting multiple applications/systems. Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a dynamic environment. Demonstrate effective initiative, organizational and analytical skills, attention to detail, judgment and follow through. Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing, with technical, business, and management staff. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to develop cohesive working relationships with internal and external clients. Demonstrated ability to collaborate with all levels of the organization in a professional manner. Understanding of project management/reporting methodology. Strong service & results orientation. A confident and approachable personality to work effectively and professionally to resolve time critical incidents. Flexibility to adapt to change and willing to learn and develop new skill sets as applicable. Use of incident management logging/tracking systems (preferably Jira). Good knowledge and understanding of supporting client/server and Web based applications. Strong SQL knowledge. Experience with SQL Query Analyzer and related tools, MS Word, Excel, and Visio. Bachelor’s degree in a business or technical field or relevant experience. ADDITIONAL SKILLS DESIRED Banking and/or credit card systems (stored value systems) experience. Experience working in an IT development environment based on the Microsoft .NET framework. Experience with Agile (Scrum) methodology.
