POSITION: Administrative Assistant

DEPARTMENT: Real Estate Appraisal Department
REPORTS TO: Chief Appraiser
SUMMARY: Provides a variety of administrative support functions to assigned department. Must possess strong understanding and ability to adequately use computer software such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Outlook, etc. Knowledge of real estate appraisal terms and methodology preferred
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
· Maintains a current knowledge and compliance with Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) requirements.
· Performs administrative tasks for supervisor and other Real Estate Appraisal Department staff.
· Assists in organizing work flow and establishing project schedules.
· Answers telephones, manages files and documentation, and performs special projects as needed.
· Greets visitors, distributes mail, and schedules appointments for staff and answers correspondence.
· Order and maintain office supplies to insure smooth operation of department.
· Delivers quality of service as defined by department standards.
· Assists in the ordering of commercial and residential real estate appraisals.
· Provides administrative support to the Chief Appraiser and Review Appraiser in training the lending staff regarding appraisal independence, compliance laws and OCC recommendations.
· May provide administrative support for market research and client consulting.
· Other duties as assigned.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge of real estate appraisal terms and methodology preferred. Candidate must have excellent computer skills with advanced knowledge in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Outlook.
