Job Status: Full Time, Employee Relevant Work Experience: 5+ to 7 Years Education: Bachelor's Degree Job Category: Banking/Real Estate/Mortgage Professionals Contact Information Job Description Assistant Vice President A Chicago branch office of a prestigious international bank has a need for an Assistant Vice President, Credit.  This person will supervise the credit analysts in charge of analyzing the credit worthiness of existing and prospective Japanese corporate borrowers, minimizing the bank's credit risk by assisting in the development of acceptable deal structures, and conducting various tasks in connection with maintaining credit control and portfolio management.  This will be accomplished by supervising the credit analyst group to improve the quality, timeliness, an depth of analysis of credit applications and other documents, and focusing on improving the analytical skills of the staff.  Additional duties will include preparing credit applications and credit rating applications, periodic review reports for adverse credits, credit control and portfolio management duties as assigned by management; including loan balance reports, attendance at bank meetings and customer calls as necessary, and assistance with state, federal and internal audits.  We require a Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business or a related field, and 5-7 years minimum banking practical experience, preferably in an international environment.  In additional, a MBA, or CPA is preferred.  Finally, strong written and verbal communication in both Japanese and English is mandatory.
