Join us and you’ll be inspired to discover your own mix of professional advantages and personal rewards. PurposeThis position will provide legal counsel and expertise to UnitedHealth Group and its affiliated business segments specifically in the areas of securities law compliance, securities offerings,mergers and acquisitions and general corporate matters.  This individual will regularly interact with company leaders and outside counsel on issues having impact across UnitedHealth Group entities. Key Responsibilities·  Assist in complex legal projects such as securitiesofferings, SEC filings and disclosure, acquisitions, joint ventures, and other new business opportunities.·  Oversee and coordinate legal due diligence review for securities offerings and merger and acquisition activities.·  Assist the company and its subsidiaries in its general legal affairs and risk management.·  Interact with and coordinate as necessary internal and external counsel. ·  Juris Doctorate Degree.·  2+ years legal experience with mid to large size corporation or law firm.·  Experience with federal securities laws and NYSE regulations.·  Experience negotiating, interpreting and drafting documents.·  Skilled in building and maintaining relationships with all levels of an organization.·  Strong business acumen and decision making skills.·  Experience in handling a variety of complex legal matters or projects.·  Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals, perform a wide variety of tasks and foresee and protect the company against legal risks.·  Excellent written and verbal communication skills.·  Legal research skills.·  Adept at working in a fast-paced, performance-driven culture.Diversity creates a healthier atmosphere: equal opportunity employer M/F/D/V
